Diagnostics are very useful in determining problems and future problems with your car. If you have lights appear on your dashboard alerting you to an issue, you are advised to have a diagnostics test to find out what is wrong with your car. Those lights are warning lights and are there for a reason.

A diagnostics test is performed by inserting a scanner into a special connecter found in your vehicle. The scanner then receives data from the vehicle providing information on the vehicle and produces a specific code that relates to a problem. Therefore, the mechanic can then identify what is wrong with the vehicle and hopefully fix it.
